Fringed Loosetrife - Firecracker

Lysimachia ciliata

This is NOT the invasive goosneck loosetrife, it is a different species entirely. The plant has really interesting dark burgundy leaves with contrasting yellow flowers in midsummer. Foliage becomes more green late in summer. Likes full sun, but can can tolerate partial shade. It spreads rapidly, but doesn’t outcompete other plants in the bed. We love it because it is drought tolerant and brings in pollinators. It is a sturdy foliage and cut flower filler.
