Lupines are a tender perennial, that self seed and spread in the PNW. They need very little care and are perfect in a perennial border or semi-wild area of your yard. I view them as a harbinger of summer - they bloom in tandem with other late spring perennials such as irises, columbines, and peonies. They will bloom later in their first year than in subsequent seasons.
The Russell’s Formula mix from Johnny’s may include any of these colors: white, pink, violet-blue, red, yellow, peach, and bicolors.
