DIY Wedding Flower Workshops

Our DIY Wedding Flower Workshops invite couples and their closest friends and family to gather at our working flower farm and create wedding florals together. Made for connection as much as creation, these hands-on workshops offer a way to engage with locally grown flowers while celebrating community, collaboration, and creativity.

Hosted on our Southwest Washington flower farm, each four-hour workshop guides you through harvesting, processing, and designing your own wedding flowers, with MoMo staff offering support and floral guidance throughout.

Couples who choose a DIY Wedding Flower Workshop receive 10% off their wedding flowers (maximum of $500), along with something lasting: time spent together, connection, and a shared pride in bringing their wedding vision to life.

What Makes It Special

  • Work side-by-side with the farmer–florist who grew your wedding flowers

  • Learn floral techniques while contributing directly to your wedding designs

  • Create space for bonding, storytelling, and celebration before the big day

  • Enjoy a beautiful, welcoming farm setting designed for comfort and connection

  • Leave with memories you’ll cherish forever

The DIY Workshop is perfect for couples who want connection as much as beautiful flowers.

Is the DIY Workshop Right for You?

Our workshops are hands-on, collaborative, and fully supported by our team. If you enjoy working together, getting a little dirty, and creating something meaningful with the people you love, this experience is likely a great fit.

(Bonus: the flowers tend to feel even more special when you helped make them.)

What to Expect

  • We allow space to create, but also provide lots of guidance to ensure that the design is cohesive and fits within the couple’s vision for their wedding day.

  • Connection is a core part of the process. Our groups have so much fun with old and new friends and family.

  • Led by experienced farmer-florists who know how to provide instruction, encourage participation, and keep things moving with purpose.

  • Our workshops prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.

  • Wedding flowers are so fleeting. Our workshops provide an opportunity to take home skills that will serve you long into the future.

Sample Itinerary

  • Workshop participants make themselves comfortable (often with food and drinks) and we do a quick tour of the farm.

  • We will have a mock up of the floral design we are creating and we will walk you through all the steps you need to take to replicate the design before letting you get hands on and creative.

  • Get a snack, drink some water, and step out into the sunshine for some birdsongs. Stretch!

  • We introduce the next task. Often, we split into small groups for the second half of the workshop.

  • To close the day, we clean up our workspace, take some group photos, and celebrate our beautiful work and the lovely couple!
